Abstract

The spatial representation of the temperature and rainfall regimes are of great importance and usefulness when you want to analyze the climatic behavior of a given region; for this reason, the present investigation has as objective the development of a program that allows to perform said tasks. Data of the average temperature of the air from the meteorological stations belonging to the provinces of Granma, Santiago de Cuba, Guantanamo and Holguin were used, as well as the rainfall information of the latter province; while the interpolation method of the inverse of the distance squared was used. This work allowed obtaining a climatic characterization of the province of Holguín with respect to the aforementioned meteorological variables and being applicable in any geographic region.
