Caracterización de la variabilidad climática natural de la rapidez y el rumbo del viento sobre la isla de Cuba

Abstract
Se analizan las frecuencias y las tendencias del viento para 14 estaciones meteorológicas a lo largo y ancho de la isla de Cuba. Estos cálculo se realizan apoyados en la base de datos GRANMET (1 238 080 datos) y en una nueva metodología desarrollada por Álvarez et. Al (2000) para el cálculo de la tendencia. Se concluye que: los valores de los rangos de la tendencia de la rapidez del viento oscilan entre valores muy grandes (desde 0.0544 hasta 0.0031), si normalizamos los valores hallados para la tendencia se puede señalar que eliminando la estación San Juan y Martínez la norma se compacta como una función oscilante a lo largo de Cuba para la rapidez del viento, promediando sobre 12 estaciones tenemos una tendencia neta para Cuba 0.0002m/s respecto a la rapidez del viento. Se dan otras conclusiones.
