Two thousand twenty-four: year of storms and hurricanes

Abstract
El 30 de noviembre llega su fin la temporada ciclónica en el océano Atlántico, después de un intervalo de seis meses que marcó huellas en Cuba. Concluido el plazo, se impone evaluar lo ocurrido a partir de abril, cuando siete centros de investigación publicaron sus predicciones sobre la ciclogénesis tropical, todas con más de 20 organismos con nombre. Durante ese mes, los pronósticos incrementaron gradualmente la cantidad de ciclones, en una carrera ascendente hasta el día 24, cuando el equipo de la Universidad de Pensilvania (Estados Unidos) marcó el tope con su perspectiva entre 27 y 39 tormentas tropicales.
