Policies and instruments for adaptation to climate change of the ecosystem services humedal el burro
Main Article Content
Abstract
The El Burro wetland is an important ecosystem due to the variety of ecosystem services that contribute to human well-being, as part of the capital district wetland complex due to its strategic attributes under the Ramsar Convention. However, this ecosystem is affected by pollutants that enter its tributaries, ecological fragmentation, disturbance of fauna due to its proximity to urban infrastructure, among other situations that gradually decrease the quality of its ecosystem services.
The objective of the project was to analyze the public policies and economic instruments that allow the recovery of the ecosystem services of the El Burro wetland as strategies for adaptation to climate change. For this, the interrelationships of wetland policy and public policies were analyzed, the economic instruments that could be implemented for the restoration and recovery of ecosystem services in the El Burro wetland in Bogotá and what strategies have been developed for management were analyzed. of climate change, under the principle of prevention.
