Abstract

This case report makes reference to the behavior of the weather over the province of Ciego de Ávila under the effects of the cloud bands that accompanied the tropical storm ETA. Data from meteorological stations in Ciego de Ávila, from the Provincial Delegation of Hydraulic Resources, satellite images from GOES 16, from the Camagüey meteorological radar, as well as information from the press media and maps obtained on the internet through the websites of institutions were used. of meteorological prestige. The most negative effects of this tropical storm in the province were the damages caused by the intense rains that occurred during several days before and during the passage of the pass, which caused floods mainly in the municipalities of the west of the province, such as They are from Majagua and Florencia, causing damage to homes and agriculture.
