Abstract

To assess the exposure of residents in the municipality to air pollution, the target population was divided into five categories. The results showed that highest risk groups include children under four years. The results from simulation show that SO2 presents the highest concentrations, which were located in the area covered from the SSW to the WNW from the reference source. The calculated hazard ratios, assume that the population is exposed to the existing average concentration for a period of 75 years in the case of adults, and 12 years for children.
