Abstract

Based on the concepts of Meteorological and Agricultural Drought, it is reached a balanced interpretation and integration of the hazard that both events account for acting together at a given time (Integrated hazard), and thereby it is achieved a quantitative term to be used in the equation for “Drought Risk”, either operationally in real time or in historical studies related to the evaluation of the potential dangers by Drought for any locality or geographic region of interest. These calculations are a first and novel contribution to the problem of the study of risk, vulnerability and hazard in the country
