Abstract

The problem of the population exposed to different levels of air quality locally using the Air Quality Index is approached, for that a qualitative evaluation of air quality of the main areas of the city of Pinar del Río and is showed the data monitoring air quality through the various pollutants that are studied, MP10, SO2, NO2 and CO. To obtain samples the automatic mobile station of monitoring air quality from China is used with the goal of show the results of experimental measurements of the concentrations of major air pollutants studied in the city of Pinar del Río by means of the corresponding analysis of air quality through their respective maximum allowable concentrations and application of air Quality Index and actions to take in the city to minimize emissions of these pollutants into the atmosphere. Two sampling campaigns, an associate at little rainy period of the year and over the rainy period and are measured in three areas of interest are developed. Results show areas with air quality is classified as deficient and for that are proposed measures to mitigation the air pollution.
