Abstract

In this paper an study of climatological synoptic character on the Cold Strong Fronts that concerned to Cuba, in the years from 1950 to 2008, is realized. The tropospheric behavior is analyzed of this meteorological situation, his characteristics associated, as well as, the different circulatory associate bosses when they affected the Cuban island. These results demostrate his climatological behavior that contribute to a better comprehension of the tropospheric structure in the low latitudes and contributes to a better efficiency in the meteorological forecasts to them associate. There was denoted that the major frequency of the cold strong fronts (FFF) that concerned to Cuba corresponds to him to classified like classic for his type. They have a predominantsouthern flow associate in the average troposphera reaffirming the exchange of the extratropical circulation with the low latitudes. In addition, it shows the characteristics that present under the influence of the events teleconectivos ENSO and NAO, valuing and determining the behavior of the wind field for the high troposphera.
