Abstract

The current investigation presents a statistical analysis of the precipitation totals every ten days in Cienfuegos, Villa Clara and Sancti Spiritus provinces between 1979-1999 periods. The annual march of those precipitation totals is analyzed in four different regions: north, central, south and the mountainous areas of the Heights of Trinidad and Sancti Spiritus, using the division by zones proposed by Kivganov et to. (1987) and Fernandez (1987) .There are established the main differences of those periods of ten days precipitation totals, making emphasis in the behavior for the transitional periods between the dry and wet seasons respectively. It is also analyzed these behavior in sequential form by the spatial distribution of those precipitation totals for the central provinces, making a correlation for those who present bigger contrast with the patterns of circulation that characterize the season. The analysis is subdivided into four panels of 12 maps that represents each of the ten days periods, two of then belong to the dry season of the year and the other two in correspondence with the rainy season. Graphics and maps are included to illustrate the content of the investigation
